This is a straight Wrightlines Fowler-Marshall. It needs a little bit more fettling to get the body sitting on the footplate and the roof will stay loose until the whole thing is painted. I have run one of these in O16.5 for years and have always been impressed (and surprised) at how well they run (although they are noisy). This one is no different, it grinds along at a steady pace and is matched quite nicely by the Dick Kerr loco.
This was quite an old kit, with relatively coarse wheel profiles so the wheels were replaced with finer profiled 14mm diameter disc wheels. The loco was started back in 2014 and stayed in an unfinished state until late 2018 when I realized that it would be an easy candidate to finish in time for the first show. I guess that I am pretty slow at finishing things and that I don’t like painting stock!
